What is Black and Tan?

Black and tan is not just your average everyday run of the mill comedy tour. It is more like a comedy movement. A movement to break down racial boundaries and stereotypes using the universal language of laughter. Feeling an ever increasing racial polarization in our society, the members of this tour, each one a national headliner, thought that it would be a great time to unite as one and create a comedy show that would allow the world to see life from many different hilarious sides of the ethnic experience. The chance to laugh at the things that make us different, and realize that we're actually more alike than we think. Black and tan is a celebration of our diversity. A comedy tour on a mission to spread the good word, that it's our differences that makes us the best country on the planet. Black and tan is a tour unlike any other tour ever mounted. It's a group of comedians from totally different backgrounds. Comedians that reflect the shade of a changing America. Not just black, or white, or country or urban, or male or female. Inclusion, not exclusion is our goal.

Dean Austin

Dean has appeared on several TV shows and performs Colleges, Cruise Ships and Clubs all over. He's performed overseas for the Troops in Japan, Germany, Korea and Iraq. Dean has many T.V. credits including, BET's Comic View, Showtime at the Apollo, Uptown Comedy Club, The Latino Laugh Festival and most recently Comics Unleashed. Many of the patrons that go to the comedy club to see his performance leave with a whole new outlook on love, racism and how people should be treated. If comedy were bottled, the label would read, "Dean Austin Antidote!"

Mimi Gonzalez

Mimi Gonzalez was destined to be a comedian. She grew up the only daughter of seven from a Cuban father who married ten times and was a psychiatrist. Her Italian mother navigated life as a single parent and wanted conscientious children so she sacrificed them to the nuns of a Catholic school. Mimi's curiosity and idealism drive her writing and performing. She's been seen on television on the "Today" show for the "Funniest Person on Wall Street" and her performance for an audience of 200,000 at the March on Washington resulted in a featured spot on Mo Gaffney's Comedy Central show, "Women Aloud." She's also been on "Ellen," "Que Loco," "Funny is Funny," and "Latino Laugh Festival."

He's has been seen on Mad TV, Comic's Unleashed and Comedy Central, as well as a scene stealing role in the Sundance Film Festival winner "Chameleon Street".
